Flickers, Tentacles, and Sandwiches

đź““ Blue Shutter Dev Log

Hey again

A few strange things took shape this week. Some small fixes in the forest, a playable sandwich counter, and a hallway that finally has a mirror. Here's what’s new in Blue Shutter

🌀 Formless, Refined

We put the final touches on the Formless enemy

  • Fixed a missing frame in its attack animation
  • Cleaned up the timing on tentacle collisions
  • Added logic that calculates how far the player gets knocked back based on their position relative to the Formless

It’s subtle, but it makes the encounter feel sharper and more physical, like it actually notices you before it lashes out

🥪 Deli Minigame Begins

The deli minigame is officially in motion. Early days, but it's already starting to feel like a fun little break from the darker parts of Wadsroad

  • Ingredient assets were resized by 20% for better clarity
  • Ingredients can now be clicked, dragged, and dropped. Once released, they fall toward their shadow and settle into the sandwich
  • Stacked ingredients now have more visual polish and depth
  • Added wrapping paper to the workspace for a more tactile feel
  • The hand now follows the cursor
  • Built a working ingredient map that tracks what’s been added to the sandwich
  • Also started laying the foundation for the order system, clock, and possible condiments

You can make a sandwich.

🖼️ Set’s Hallway Got Some Life

We gave Set’s hallway a little attention

  • Added a functional mirror
  • Hung some pictures
  • Placed a window

It’s amazing what a few personal touches can do. The hallway feels more lived in now, like someone actually walks through it on purpose

That’s all for now. More updates coming soon as the deli grows more untrustworthy and Wadsroad gets stranger still
